2010 off to a wet start

Arrggghh – Good Vibrations was another wet festival although

Big Day Out was a sizzler.
The DNA team not only delivered the enhanced
Jagermeister activation at GV, we also delivered
the Sportsgirl Green Room at the same event. So the bump in day was a genuine challenge as the weather moved from blazing  hot to torrential rain in the space of a few hours. Add that to the usual pre-festival pandemonium  and you have a recipie for sunburn and mud. I was rehearsing for an important gig after the day setting up the venues and the shower I had was the best shower ever. Period!
The Sportsgirl venue was managed by our trés cool DNA madamoiselle Français Miss Flora, who was cruising until the DJ’s kicked in around dusk. The place went totally mental (something to do with the break in mainstage activity and the downpour) and Miss Flora had her hands very full.

People’s behaviour is truly hard to fathom when they attend festivals. Sort of ‘Kindy’ for young adults where they act in ways totally out of kilter with how they act in their daily lives. Still our client was over the moon even if Flora was over the Green Room by the time they shut the doors
